This was the blog of SunnyCompost, a community compost site in Sunnyside, Queens, NYC. In 2020, the site changed its name to Woodside Sunnyside Composting(WSC) and is now using Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter for sharing visual content, advocacy and community efforts. The new website is https://www.woodsidesunnysidecomposting.org/home and has lots of information about how you can join these completely volunteer-run efforts.

Sunny Compost mentioned in NY Daily News

The Story of a Banana Peel
Watch The Story of a Banana Peel. It's a short film I made during a 16mm filmmaking class in June. I'd never done anything like this before and wanted to make something compost-related. It's not perfect but makes me happy when I watch it. I think the song adds so much as well.
